What should an invoice in Ireland show?
- Your name and address, and your client’s name and address.
- A unique invoice number that follows a sequence, and the issue date.
- A clear description of the goods or services, quantities and prices.
- If you are VAT registered: your VAT number, the customer address, prices excluding VAT, the VAT rate and amount for each rate, total VAT, and the date of supply if it differs from the issue date.
General guidance, not tax advice. Which VAT rate applies depends on what you sell; confirm with Revenue or your accountant.
